I feel for ya dude. California and DMV are two words to fear especially when put together. Could be shenanigans or not. My daughter and son in law are fighting with these morons over two cars that have been registered out of state for 2 years. All paperwork was/has been submitted but Cali DMV continues to send renewal notices and late charges. It's hard to release funds to another State. Gotta fund these sanctuary cities don'tcha know?. Anyway I suspect that unfortunately your issue is not with the dealer but with the STATE. Best Wishes.

I was in a similar situation with a CA Wheeler Dealer car I bought a few yrs ago from a small dealer. I contacted the CA Attorney's General. Wasn't long after I had my title.

A dealer (esp a reputable Porsche dealer) is required to supply a title.

I didn't complete the pursuit of a JD. Thus, I don't play by the same rules.

I'm a professional writer, and my "consumer" letters have met with 100% success. For my clients.

PM me, and we'll go from there.

Cheers!
