There where no factory special editions of the 986 Boxster, except for the 2004 Anniversary Special Edition. That said, Porsche will customize any aspect of the car (paint, color, stitching, etc) for the right price, so it could have some unique characteristics if that was done, however the Silver/Red combo is somewhat common.

Boxster

Thank you for the replies. I’m new to the Porsche scene. I have been into vintage Vws all of my life but have always wanted a Boxster. I figured it was time.

Hey 55 Splitty welcome to the forum. I have a 99 Boxster same color combo. Previous owner told me that combo is what Porsche used for their ad campaign and that is why he choose it. May not add to out value but it is a great combo. Enjoy the ride!!
