I'll follow your link and see what they say... I'm only sweating this because in my area, I've talked to 4 Porsche people.... one dealer and three perfomance shops... And they all acted like it was sucha big deal to do the coding.. Which I know it's not.... I'd love to just handle this myslef and avoid these folks...

I saw your visitor message regarding the code for the fuel gauge. Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to your question. In my case, I am using the code from the 996 cluster with only two changes - the VIN and the mileage. There is a thread on Boxa.net - the UK Boxster site that has some more information. You may need to register on Boxa.net to read it. They do show some of the code and discuss it in some detail, but don't mention coding the fuel gauge. You may want to compare the code in your cluster to the ones that they show and see if you can identify the part that is different.
