BOXSTER ROOF NOT WORKING
-the brake dash light comes on
-the windows go down 2" when I open doors
-I replaced the micro switch at the latch last year
-the gear drive at the roof struts looks fine
the motor spins but I get a clockwise rotation for up and down
the motor always spins clockwise, can that be right?
shouldn't it turn one way for up and the other for down?
-I think the dash switch is okay, it closes one circuit for up and another one for down (but without knowing specifically which tabs do what I don't know which circuit are supposed to close)
-I test for voltage at the motor and I get 12 v across two different circuits (but don't know what the correct power should be) but I don't get a positive and a negative 12 v signal
-one more time shouldn't I get a positive and negative 12 v at the motor for up and down?
-I would like to test the relay but don't know specifically which wires to jump
