Hi, I realize your post about the sleeve on the shift lever was a while ago, but i was wondering two things: How did you get the shift lever (#2) off of the transmission casing, 2) Would not have replacing the seal (#17) not have fixed any leaking?

I'm having a leak at my shift lever at the same place.

Great write up by the way!

    Thanks,
    Tony
