I've never driven one, so I'll have to bench race. According to Autoweek's testing, the Aston out-slaloms the 360 Modena and the Z8 and ties the Z06 and M3. That's pretty good company. It has over 450 hp and 400 lb/ft of torque. It's gorgeous. What's not to like?

Yep - that's what I was insinuating. Given the performance you quoted I stand corrected.

My general impression of Aston Martin is that the performance is Mercedes like, wrapped in nicer sheet metal with less reliability and a higher price. This makes the price/performance equation abyssmal and my lust for one quickly fade.

Again, I am apparently totally wrong on this model and stand corrected.
