Boogity, boogity, boogity! What's the fastest you have had you Boxster to?

Hit a nice stretch of open highway and got my Boxster up to 151 MPH.

What's the highest speed you've had your Boxster to? In MPH please.

130 MPH. It was extremely smooth and planted and didn't feel that fast. There was more there too.

Oh yeah there is more lol. My previous was 132 MPH, different stretch of highway.

I just happened to hit a nice long stretch with no cars for miles, so I blew the dust out of her. Yeah the car felt completely planted the whole time. I could have got more, but had to slow down for my exit.

I've read the top speed of a Boxster S is 164 MPH. Is that governed or just an estimate?

Not in the Boxster of course, but I once hit an indicated 170 mph, 3/4 of the way down the 3,500' main straightaway at Miller Motorsports Park. Legally ! Then I had to brake, hard! I was on an MV Agusta F4 1000s (motorcycle). Top speed is supposedly 186 mph (300 kph). The world seems to go by really quickly at that speed, not protected by a cage (car).

135mph at Kansas Speedway in the Cayman last Sep. Hope to hit 140 there in Sep. Will be doing a DE at COTA in May. Hope to match the 135 on the back straight.

At least I won't go to jail for my top speed.

These threads come up every now and then. I believe there is a time and place for everything. Highways like this are just begging you to test the limit!

Looks about like the stretch I was on, except it's two lanes one direction and no beautiful mountain in the background. I wasn't out to due it, was just the right opportunity.

110 or so... Only issue. I wasn't planning on it. Was just passing a few trucks late at night on a 6 lane in the wide open far left.

Was just riding in 6th and let the surge or torque pull me past a few trucks. Looked down and I was 110+.

Car was really planted though and felt like the air was perfectly zipping around it.

175 in a Carrera S on the German Autobahn. It's nice not to have worry about going to jail.

Bought it in Dallas, got on the freeway and ran it up to 110 briefly. Drove all day and night and the next day in Wyoming I ran it up to 145 indicated and held it there for about 5 minutes. Solid as a rock. No real feeling of speed.

The 986 is well planted, thank you Porsche. Back in the days of the IROC-Z, I had a couple of them. One of them was geared for the highway and I hit around 168 MPH (not stock) and that car was drifting like it was going to take off lol.

I did the The NASCAR Experience around the Kansas Speedway. Those cars have some major power 186 MPH in the straights in no time. This wasn't the no passing allowed type. Their moto was "If you ain't passing, you ain't racing".

You have plenty of places to open her up from St Joe to K.C., although I think your trip to CO might have been when it happened.

I would have needed a lot more room to hit that max 164 MPH spot. Right now I'm pretty happy with the 151 MPH.

130. Country road with no driveway entrances. I couldn't believe how fast my wife and I got there. This car is so smooooth ,it was still pulling strong. That was with the top up.
