Ruf 3400s

With an asking price of $60,000, this 2001 Ruf 3400s costs as much as a 981 Boxster. But I'd no question rather have the Ruf. With only 12 made, this is by far my favorite Porsche, and its not even a Porsche

Is a RUF Boxster really worth 4x the going price for Boxster S? I'd love to own one but the 3400s is a pretty mild upgrade by Ruf standards and this is a huge premium. Is the Ruf name worth that much?

The Kermit green one cool!

It's simply because of how few were made I am sure, I really don't see how this is any better than the average 3.4 conversion any of us could do with a fraction of the money.

No it's not worth that much unless it is..... to that rare buyer who would rather have this over a similarly powered and priced Boxster Spyder for example.
If RUF list a 'magazine car' for a price that's only marginally higher than what the hardware upgrade would otherwise fetch from a less familiar shop, its not so flattering to RUF.
So better to let it sit for a steep price. I'm guessing they're not thin on cash these days.

As much as i like it that car is no way worth that kind of money . A 987S mk2 will leave it in the dust for much less money. I think they will have trouble getting 30 for it .

You can get a brand new 2014 Boxster S with the 315hp 3.4L for $63K which I think is more HP than this 911 3.4L

I'd rather have the 2014 Boxster S. It's new, has a warranty, has about the same power plus it's has 12 years of advances. I was just thinking if this car still has the factory IMS? Don't forget the vinyl window.

I would not pay the money, but I will say that this ruf is worth the money. So few were made, someone will pay, and they will sell It for the same if not more a few years down the road.

It's not about the features/power this car has that makes it worth it to me, it's the fact of what it is, and how rare it is

Beautiful Car!! Too much Money!! They'd be lucky to fetch half their asking price.....RUF's are no doubt aspirational Porsches, but mainly to the 911 crowd. Hopefully they get it.

I believe this particular RUF has been for sale for about a year and a half.
