Found a cheap glass top (not GAHH) - anyone tried it?

I've had my eyes on a GAHH glass top For a while but it's just a little too pricey for me.

Today, I found this on eBay:
Porsche Boxster Black Convertible Top 986 Haartz A5 w Glass 97 98 99 00 01 02 | eBay

That's $425 compared to $925 from GAHH. Holy crap! It's made of A5 canvas like the GAHH top and made in the USA.

Has anyone tried these tops? At that price I'm tempted to give one a shot.

One thing I am curious about is whether or not these or the gahh tops come with the inner liner? Is the inner liner just reused? Are people going without it?

it's not too small, it's just small enough. the glass has to fit in the same area as the plastic folds into.

i've had my GAHH for a few years. love it.

What can I say, I'm pretty good at lurking

Second post in...3 years of membership? Possibly a record right there.

I actually bought the top but it's been too darn cold in PA for me to install it. Now the weather is finally warming up so I'm cleaning up the garage and going to the dealership for some parts so I can finally install it.

For the hell of it I'll post my first photo. My Box at Summit Point:

I got mine from AutoTopsDirect | Convertible Tops | Convertible Top Headliners | Convertible Top Parts. $639 right now for the A5 top with heated glass.

Based on my previous research, I think it is the exact same as the GAHH top, but isn't warrantied for quite as long. In the eBay link you posted, the bond between the glass and the canvas seems different. The eBay one has a black band around the glass, while the GAHH/autotopsdirect one does not have that.

Looks just like the Robbins top I recently installed. Works great and very happy. I paid $450 and found a professional installer for $350. Total = $800.

Pic's are in this thread: http://986forum.com/forums/general-discussions/42093-new-top-would-you-do-plastic-glass-window-2.html
