Wiring offroad spot and flood lights

Hello!
I’d like to install spot and flood lights to the top of a recently purchased roof rack on my 2001 986.
I’d like to control them with a switch replacing one of the blank ones in the center console.
How can i go about wiring this?
Thanks!

Did your lights come with a wiring kit? I have found that the kits that come with a switch and relay are the best way to go.

Otherwise, the simplest way is to run a wire from the 'phone option connector' under the center console for +12v to your switch, then on to the lights. See: What does this plug under the dash go to?

Thank you! That phone connector is really cool.

I’m still researching which lights to get, based on if I can use a center console switch, included basic toggle switch, or some bluetooth panel.

I’m also new to car wiring.
