dash speaker replacement questions
I did a search and read most of the articles that have been posted . I think I've got everything down in my head except one item . Seems like most of you that have done the dash speaker replacement have glued/epoxied the new speaker into the modified OEM speaker cage/frame . Any concerns about future speaker replacing with the speakers epoxied into place ? How are you going to " break " the epoxy bond ? Or is that not a concern deal with it if/when it shows up ?
Does the new speaker have to be bonded to the frame ? Or can that bond be a silicone/RTV so it's easier to break in the future if needed ? If it matters I think I'm going to go with Alpine 410's they seem to be a decent price/quality trade off . One of my OEM speakers in the beast died so I have to replace the pair . Thanks in advance
