Ben, I'll test it or you!

Count me in!

Ben006 04-21-2019 07:56 AM

I installed it on my car for testing.
Since I already had a prototype on it, I know that it good, the last question will be the steel shaft that I haven't received yet !

 Keep us informed, I already have a short shifter.

shockandawe 05-06-2019 06:49 AM

Shifter

Any news on the part?

particlewave 05-06-2019 01:38 PM

I applaud your efforts, Ben.
However, running a round aluminum ball against a flat plastic surface is going to leave you with the same issue: play will develop quickly as the ball wears a groove into the plastic sleeve.
You need something more like the stock insert for the ball joint in order to distribute the load.

mgfranz 05-10-2019 09:31 PM

Want, want, want... Where is it?

palmhero 05-11-2019 06:23 AM

Ben, where can I buy your short shifter?

I chose the delrin insert, it's easier to make !
Since the ball rides on only a small part, each insert can be used twice, and you'll get two with each kits.
That should be enough to last a few years ;)
And even after that, I won't sell the inserts for a crazy price, I want my parts to continue working for a looong time :)

I made a small modification, and the production will start soon :D

palmhero, if you are in the US, check with Uniwerksdesign.com ;)

Ben

I am in EU

Ben006 05-18-2019 11:53 AM

Then you can get one directly from my website : benautodesign.fr

I have some in stock but I need to assemble them, doesn't take long for one ;)

palmhero 05-18-2019 01:08 PM

Checking in on the progress on the yoke upgrade.... Looking to order a kit but would prefer to upgrade the yoke at the same time.

Ben006 06-18-2019 11:36 AM

The second prototype is done (I changed a dimension 1mm...)
Now the production should start this week !

M1NDCRlME 07-09-2019 06:53 AM

Ben any update?

Ben006 07-21-2019 07:58 AM

They are on my way :D should be there during the week !
