Turn signal Switch replacement

My turn signal will not cancel when I push down for a left turn and it will not engage at all when I push up for a right turn.

Does anyone have a link to a DIY process for replacing the turn signal switch? I did a search of this forum and found two links. One was a dead link that just gives you a 403 page error. The other is linked to a process on Pelican Parts website that involves all kinds of soldering and fabricating a wiring harness to convert a 2 or 3 stalk to a 4 stalk.

I am not interested in any of that. I just want to be able to remove my broken 2 stalk and pop in a new one.

Thanks in advance.

Actually, it's not very difficult. I found the instructions for it in a dash removal process by Meir. Here's the link ...

great find on the video... i hear that the OBC and cruise control can be installed with simply the installation of the 4 stalk... is this true?

Garage
my obc switch is a little loosy goosy, looks like a simple fix.
One question...why turn on the ignition and then disconnect the battery. ??

I would just start at disconnecting the battery . Did I miss something?

Don't know. I was wondering the same thing. It would seem to me you would be much more likely to fry something if you accidentally arc the negative cable when removing it with the switch turned on.

To drain any juice left in the capacitors? No issues when I did mine following the vid though.
