997 Short Shifter Install

I am about to put in a 997 SSK....can anybody direct me to some good instructions?

I mainly concerned with the cable adjustment.

BTW what the heck is the green bracket ontop for??

green bracket on top is the alignment tool for realigning the shifter cables if necessary. If you mark them when disconnecting the OEM shifter, you'll be fine and won't need the alignment tool at all. That being said, either w/ or w/o alignment tool, before you reinstall the console I suggest taking the car for a quick ride to test all gears.

Install directions here

Skip the portions you need if you have the whole assembly. Pictures are mostly from 9x7 but very similar for 9x6.
