So guys, thanks for the info in the thread. Got my LED's and taps from Amazon today and did the hack. Super easy and it looks great!
Only question I have....does anyone else's fog light indicator light on the headlight switch stay on the whole time? is there a way to have it turn off, or it just stays on now? |
What kind of fuse taps are needed for this guys.. Standard size?
For the guys with Leds in place of the H7 fogs, what wattage bulbs are you using? Also worth mentioning that LED H7 bulbs are a nice modern upgrade over standard dim/high beam headlights too. No ballast and extra wiring needed either unlike HID kits. Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk |
I was concerned about the fans on the LED H7's with our headlight assembly, they would be enclosed with no air flow
The fuse taps are standard size. NAPA auto parts has them |

Some have heatsinks and no fans. However, U could always drill a hole in the assembly.. Kinda like what you'd have to do with a HID kit Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk |

If one was to use LED H7's for the fogs in this hack, what wattage is recommended? Everything from 50W to 150W is available in the H7 range. I know the halogens are 50W but not sure if the leds would equate to same wattage.
Also I was thinking of replacing my Halogen dims with Led versions. Would 50W be recommended here also? I'm kind of confused as to why 80 & 150W are available so easily. Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk |
Becareful with what led's you use, even with led's it started burning the lens on my car

I'm using these, 60w, only SLIGHTLY bluish. makes a nice contrast with the Litronics. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HO8TK4W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1489499917.jpg |

Uk
Hi guys, Has anyone done this hack in the UK, Europe or Australia? Reason I ask is, I just cannot get it to work, I know the fuse and relay location differ from the US.
The relay is in position 24 and the fuse is in position A7 on a UK car. Any ideas PLEASE... Regards Carl |
