I'm not familar with "targon tubing"? What is it and where can I get a small piece if I need it? Was the 1/2" the ID of the tube?

I had planned to use some tubing that we had a work.. and a couple of hose clamps. Right now the car is stored and I'm not in a hurry to open up the engine compartment again. And of course I forgot to measure the dip stick tube OD.

Thanks for whatever help you can offer.

Completed the fix. Bought clear 3/8"ID tube x 1/2" OD from Home Depot. I took the broken piece of tube with me and made sure I could insert it into the tube. I used some motor oil to lube the ID. I also ran hot water over the tube to soften it up.... my garage is cold. A little pushing and cussing and a couple of hose clamps and the tube is fixed.

What is the best access point to get to the area to repair the dipstick?

I removed the right rear wheel to gain access, could not see where the leak is originating, so I then looked in from on top, still couldn't see.. my next move is to look from under the vehicle..

Frustrated on lost time.
