Thanks, one more question

Is there a tool that I can use to test the polarity? Will it hurt the speaker if I connect it and switch the polarity multiple times to see what makes it work?

Thanks for the tip on the stripe = +

I got two 6 inch subs for the doors and I'm thinking of connecting the old wires to my new sub and a second pair of wires to the subs for when I run an amp. So when I get an amp I simply disconnect the old amp wires and connect the amp and the new wires to the amp and it switches me over to the new amp or would it cause a drain on the system.

Perhaps I'll just wire up the subs with new wiring and wait until I get an amp in a few months...
