Looking to buy - Boxster (986 or 987)

Hi all,

I am looking to buy a Boxster (986 or 987) at a reasonable price (I would like to spend around$10k). I am located in the MidWest (Iowa), but I am willing to drive if the car is worth it.

This is going to be a fun car for me, but I would like to keep it for many years. Let me know if you are selling yours. It must be an automatic, my wife will be driving it too,

To anyone that is not selling. Is it worth waiting until Fall? Do prices really go down during Fall/Winter?

Thank you

Prices are about 30%-50% more then normal for the past 18 months, sometimes selling for well over twice normal price.

Be open to buying from anywhere in the US. One way flights are cheap, fly & drive it home over a weekend.

Thank you for the additional info. I noticed that the prices were up. I looked at some videos on YouTube and they were talking about way lower prices. Also, you are right. If the car is in good condition and the price is right taking a flight and driving it back home might be a good idea.

I have a 987 tiptronic, but as you can expect a bit more than your budget. If you are willing to go up a bit, just let me know. I may post it up officially soon as well.

If you aren't in a rush I would wait till fall, or the winter. You should be able to find a good condition one under $10k. Paying anymore then that is paying too much in my opinion. Anything more and you might as well look at a 996 cause those are coming down in price.

Thank you, but it must be an automatic, because my wife has to drive it too.
