FS: Well-sorted 2001 Boxster S 6spd Black IMS/clutch done

Hi all,

Selling my Box to buy either my first home or a 996tt (yeah, totally brain vs heart).

I have gone through this entire car and it runs great. I drive it all over upstate new york, the finger lakes, the adirondacks without any issues. It will do 145 with the top down on highways in Mexico without a single creak.

I have it listed on Clist for $11.5 for obvious reasons, but would realistically take $10,500k.

Hell of a driver's car here. Pics:

Car Currently has 117,000 miles
- Six speed manual transmission
- 3.2l Flat 6 cylander engine
- Metallic Black Exterior
- Black and Savannah Beige interior
- 6 speaker system with AUX in wired into the factory unit 220
- Litronic Xenon Headlights
- Black Porsche Fitted floor mats
- New Convertible top - OEM A4 Haartz fabric and glass window with rear defrost upgrade (not plastic)
- Ice cold AC

At 113k, it had the following done WITH RECEIPTS at a cost of over $4k:

- LN Engineering Ceramic IMS Bearing
- New OEM Clutch, Flywheel, Pressure pate and ToB
- All 4 new lower control arms
- All 4 new rotors
- Differential Output Seals replaced and Fluid
- Brand new Battery

Since 113k miles:

- Entire Car clay bared and waxed
- front seat removed and carpet cleaned
- all drain holes cleared
- All four tires replaced, mounted and balanced, Hancook Ventus V12 Evo 2s 335/45r17 front and 255/40r17 rear, fronts have less than 1k miles on the, rears about 4k
- rear struts and tower mounts replaced
- 4 wheel alignment at BeeLine in Auburn
- IBC six speed shift knob and boot
- Drive's upstream O2 sensor replaced
- Dash speakers replaced in OEM style
- Electric top transmission arms replaced and top realigned
- All Spark plugs and Tubes replaced with OEM Bosch
- Coolant cap replaced with correct 996.004 replacement
- Clutch switch replaced
- Xenon headlight bulbs replaced
- Removed front bumper and cleaned radiators
- Removed rear bumper and painted rubber bumperettes
- Headlight leveling system replaced
- Throttle body removed and cleaned

Condition:

Interior - Great. Everything looks pretty good. There is a little wear here and there, but nothing that even stands out to note. The dash is perfect.

Exterior - Car is 15 years old. The paint looks good. There are rock chips in the hood, and a few minor scratches here and there and some dings (but no door dings). Overall you will be proud of how the car looks, and it shines up great with a wash and quick wax.

Issues -

1. The cruise control does not work. The light comes on during ignition, but otherwise wont illuminate, I have not tried replacing the brake switch.

2. The passenger side seat electric tilt does not work. I am not sure why this is, but its not in a bad position

Happy to answer any questions about the car, thanks for looking!

Thank you; it is. It drives unbelievably well. I live in a beautiful area near watkins glen, and regularly drive it around above 4000 RPM for hours at a time, going from cafe to cafe to bistro. My favorite way to spend a weekend day. I do wish it was a little louder, but I am sure there are plenty of fine products out there to do that.

Hey there, sorry about the delay.

This car is still available. I actually just spent $300 today on a full-body paint correction at Syracuse Auto Spa, a top, top notch detailer who does all the local Ferraris and my Boss' MP4-12C

I was actually going to update the post with new pictures. Here are some on the updated c-list listing: ~nice~ 2001 Porsche Boxster S Manual New IMS/Clutch

High res versions coming now that I am no longer a dummy and figured out imgur.

Feel free to text or call me if you'd like to speak further. Car runs outstanding. Put 7,000 miles on it from April until now. I drive it 300 miles some weekends.
