You can:

-Remove the rear chrash bar (or drill it out, as I have done)
-Switch to a 987 Engine cover, saves 1.7 kg
-Remove one of the two horns, Saves basically noting ;-) But still..
-Remove passenger side wiper
-Get lighter wheels?
-Make the "Gt3"-center console delete
-Go for a Lithium battery
-Carbon hood / trunk
-Carbon fenders
-Remove the fog light bulbs..

Ok, now I´m struggling.. ;-)

Does 'straight exhausts' mean that you removed all cats?

How heavy are the Sparco seats? OMP WRC-R and Recaro SPG are about 19lbs/seat for the FRP versions.

Have you drained out the washer fluid?

Have you taken off the underbody panels to clear out any rocks/dirt/gravel? I found a LOT up there when I changed out my tuning forks.

Remove spoiler motor and pin it in place?

Some people pull the charcoal evap canister, but Brad Roberts recommends keeping it, as it is in a good position for ballast.

Yes, no cats. literally just headers, 2 feet of pipe, and 2 glass packs.

The sparcos are an Ergo and a Circuit 2 QRT, which should be on the lighter side.

I still have washer fluid and tank, but thats going

yeah underbody has been cleaned up.

Will do spoiler motor.

probably leave charcoal canister.

thanks for the tips

For the points Robert986 mentioned:

1: I had no engine cover at all, unless I was at an SCCA event, but the one I did have was about halfway cut away to make room for the intake.
2. Horns long gone.
3: Windshield wipers, linkages, motors, hell, the whole damn assembly was gone.
4: My wheels are already pretty light, gonna be harder to go much lighter without spending BIG money.
5. I have the GT-everything delete.
6. Lithium battery would save a solid 30 lbs or so.
7. Carbon body panels are hideously expensive.
8. Bulbs? Hmmm......

2,200 lbs is going to be very, very difficult without already chopping a lot off. Mine was at the absolute minimum needed just to drive around (much less street legal) and was still 2,460 (but still perfectly balanced!). You could shave a few pounds more with a lightweight battery and lighter wheels, but that would still have you at about 2,400 or so. I even had a power steering delete and a/c was completely removed except for the lines under the car, and those are aluminium and weigh nearly nothing.
