Splitter impact on brake cooling?

I'm about to add a large splitter to my car and I'm afraid it'll impact the brake ducts ability to grab air from under the car. Has anyone experienced this? I'm running the GT3 ducts currently.

thinking you can just remove the shroud behind the rads and only need to trim the fender liners.

Excellent! I'm surprised I haven't heard of this. Running 255s up front I've already eaten away at most of he fender liners. I wonder if I can just remove them. I'd have to keep the lower part with the small diffuser. It's purely a track car so dirt isn't a big concern. Although I do go off track about every weekend

Those are fine mods, but I would use a bit of stainless screen material to keep junk (rubber, rocks, etc.) from firing back at your radiators. Don't just remove the liner, it has aero consequences.

GT3s have a small duct (air distributor) on the inside of the wheelwell for brake cooling. Turbo and 997GT3 liners have slits like the Pelican mod. Cups have dedicated ducts.

I'd see if brake cooling is a problem with the splitter before I'd try to provide a remedy.

also allows air to travel back instead of down and under the car. esp useful in classes that do not allow aero mods but do allow cooling mods.
