I've done 2 Jason Pridmore motorcycle track schools there, and I agree, it's an awesome track! I'd love to ride my Boxster around it.

This was a FUN event

Only lost one Boxster engine the whole weekend!! (wasn't mine)

I data logged oil pressure drops down into the 30lb range right before the "bowl"

A good weekend for sure. My brother is getting really fast and had me all weekend. He made a tactical tire change error just before timed runs and I managed to nip him by 2/10s when it counted. Whew!

Lost motor was Russell... again. Motor #3 for him. He is a good friend, great competitor, and I wish the best for him. A very tough 2 years with reliability issues.

I believe most of his issues have been oil pressure related. We have a disagreement about some of the causes/issues but I don't think he has opened up the wounded motors for confirmation yet. He just sources another one. You can contact him if you like at his website:

Haha none of this crazy m96 German stuff. In another life I spent way too many hours inside Chevy/Honda/Nissan motors. After 20 years my fingernails are finally almost clean. I have retired my piston ring compressor tools but I still have opinions.

That was a fun event! Some very close TT competition, It was my first time out to the track in a long time and first time in my 987. Sorry to hear about R Shon's 3.4. I was pretty close behind him when I saw his smoke screen on top of the bowl.
