Bumper came from Getty Design. Getty Design - Wings, Hoods, Fenders, Decklids, Spoiler, Aerodynamics, and more for Porsche
GT3 Front Bumper
$839.00 - FRP
$1,090.00 - CF
GT3 style conversion bumper for 996's thru 2001 and Boxster's thru 2005. Direct bolt on.

Spoiler lip is a factory Porsche Motorsports part. I think you can get them through Getty Design too. The Porsche part # is 996.505.986.91 and the factory fasteners are 999.507.497.40 x 15 of them. I've chosen to use a bit different fastening but the factory ones work too. I think the lip is around $175.

If you need help sourcing them, let me know...

That car is such a sexy beast. I would love to just take it around a track. Cheers to a well done, phenomenal car.

It does make me want to have a track car even more. But, it also makes me want some actual driving skills too. Sheesh, before I start talking track cars, I really need to get into some DEs and AXs.

I'll get there one day. It won't be as nice as your car pictured here though!

Hey, come down to San Diego for the Performance driving school in October.
2.5 days of training with a full day of learning/driving Auto cross on the last day.

I'm prepping for it now, Tires, Brake Flush, oil change etc.

It will be my intro to Auto-X and eventually DE track days, plus I'll learn how to drive it in a non-competitive atmosphere which is always good for first timers.

Seeing the full fledged race car pics sure gets your imagination working to see what might be possible for yourself.

I knew a guy who raced for Porshe Germany in the 70's, always loved hearing about his experiences and later his videos of Stock car racing in Canada.

Very exciting stuff!!!

Thanks for the kind words guys. Just finished up the 2012 season and had run two more events with the car since I last checked in.

The second weekend in the car was at AAA Speedway with POC. Had a lot of fun up on the oval and was seeing speeds of over 160mph! First day was a fairly uneventful victory. Second day I had the opportunity to race against Kevin Roush in an early 911 he had built. Before the event, we tuned the car to an unrestricted 315rwhp to make best use of the long straights. Unfortunately we didn't have time to finish off the new exhaust system, but we had enough power to pull some serious speeds. With the increase in HP, we had to add an additional 114lbs to the car. Kevin had taken the opposite approach at 260rwhp and 2220lbs, a whopping 660lbs lighter! Made for quite a fun race.

The primaries start at 1 7/8'' and step to 2''. A little large for the current motor but I have another one in the works A 3.8L that may end up closer to 4.0L...

Also, I don't worry much about low end torque because the car never gets below 5800rpm or so with the short gears.

			Eric,

Way to kick some cup car butt! Fantastic! Getting past/along side on corner exits....the corkscrew is just incredible!

Did I see some left foot braking in there? For corner balance just before and after the power comes on in certain corners? Does it help you get some more oversteer?

Will "they" let you vent the rear window?

Fantastic driving. I noticed in the corkscrew you were spinning up the tires. IS that because the drop is so steep that you get so unweighted that you lose grip? Laguna Seca, car or moto, is definitely on my bucket list.
