Well I did ordered these Brooks Brothers driving moccasin (with the roll over heels) for casual use... otherwise it's a pair of Puma Speed Cat.

What I'm liking about the Puma shoes is that I can at least try them on before I buy without having to drive a couple of hours to a trackside shop. I know I should have something more appropriate than my hiking shoes

For gloves I guess I'll just take my chances with online ordering, even though I know glove fit is often an issue for me. Any brands that are garbage or had serious issues?

I've got a pair of Mechanix gloves w/ suede palms and they are waaay too slick on the leather steering wheel. Leather on leather seems to be better.
