Track Video at AutoClub Speedway

Here is a video from two weeks ago at AutoClub Speedway in Fontana. Once I got the tires warmed up, I am full throttle all the way from the entry onto the front straight until I brake to make the hard left (Turn 3) into the infield - I take the banked NASCAR turns (Turn 1 and Turn 2) at full throttle (~120mph).

Car ran and handled great all day. The more I do this, the more fun it is! Heading up to Streets of Willow to race around with my friend in his Boxster Spec tomorow.

An excellent video Tom, thanks for posting. Almost a professional quality product. The wind noise suggests that it's a Contour camera. I'm about ready to hack mine and install a mic jack so I can run a remote mic to the license plate in back. That way it captures 95% exhaust noise.

Funny follow up:

When I showed this video to my wife, I explained that its taken me 16 months and 38 track days to get to the point where I had the skill and confidence to drive full throttle though Turns 1 and 2.

She looked at me and said, "At this rate, you'll be ready to drive in NASCAR at age 74."
