PCA DE/TT in SoCal Nov. 19-20

New Zone 8 DE/TT at Pomona Fairplex Nov 19-20

It's conveniently located in the greater LA basin, it's attractively priced, and a very fun track. The DE run groups are open to novice drivers with no track experience and other non-Porsche cars that meet our safety rules are welcome. The TT is subject to Z8 experience requirements. This is a chance to put your lap time stamp on this historic venue and run the same track shared by Phil Hill and Carroll Shelby back in the 60s.

Here is a video of PCA-SDR TT veteran Russell Shon demonstrating the racing line in his stealth 3.4L Boxster:

Topless - Pomona is one of my favorite tracks, really close to home, and my POC time trial license should transfer over to PCA. If the offer of a ride along in your BSX still stands, I'm in! (and then I'll go to AutoClub Speedway on Sunday, 11/20, with SpeedVentures to finish out the weekend!).

You Bet! The POC and PCA accept each others TT license with a check ride. See you there.

Have blown TWO transmissions there.. love that it is close, but the bumps do not work well with stiffly sprung cars!!

The driving team re-routed the track to avoid the worst of the bumps. It should be a lot better now.

Also we just got word that PCNA will be there with several 2012 cars piloted by Grand Am pro drivers. A great chance to get in a few hot laps on the track in a new Panamera or Cayman R.

I had a great time at the PCA event at Pomona yesterday! It was a busy day with both driving and instructing.

Thanks to Topless for taking me out for one of the afternoon sessions in his BSX Boxster - that guy can really haul the mail!

Again, if you've never been on track, give it a try - you'll never have more fun or meet nicer people who love Porsche's as much as you do.
