White Boxster Posse...what do you think?

I saw these pics on another board, and I must sheepishly admit to liking the look quite a bit. It also helps that the Sport Design wheels are my favorite from Porsche's lackluster rim collection.

The configurator pic also shows a cool new feature, where you can see your creation against a "daylight" or "twilight" background.

Dbth, Super66, Ricklin, Bmuss and everyone else, what do y'all think?

Hm, I liked the first two pics, but don't like the third picture. Not sure if it's because the top is down, or if it's because it's a whole car shot.

Thumbs down

Never been a fan of white rims. They look like plastic. I can only imagine how hard they are to keep clean.

I like the wheels. Reminds me of the 996 GT3 wheels which are one of my favorite Porsche Wheels

I like them a lot on the Cayman actually.....I thought the same thnig about cleaning them tho....I might be biased since I just scrubbed my rims 20 minutes ago at the car wash and didn't get them as clean as I would like

is the boxster picture a photo shop? looks a little weird, I think they look good on the cayman since it looks a little more agressive than a box

Personally, I prefer black rims on a white Boxster, but those look nice too.

Agree with the cleaning issue. It will look great once. (on the way home from dealership)

Black would be a good tradeoff and look distinctive and much more practical.

color-matching rims reminds me of the way kawasaki color-matched the rims on their 1995 purple ninja 600/900 bikes. i think it looks cheap.

Oh man, I hadn't even thought about the cleaning issue! That alone would steer me away.

I like them! I think the white rims on a white car look great. I really don't like black rims, you can't even see them, just blend into the tires/road.

You can get the Champion wheels in white as well. I like these better than the Porsche ones.

I agree....I like that chrome dish or whatever the kids call it nowadays......but yeah, black rims on a white car

I have contemplated the chrome 19" classics but I'm not sure think looks right on the white car either....not as bad as a black rim tho.....

I don't know about that. I like silver and black. Check out this Gamballa white boxster with black rims. Whatever you do, make sure it has a chrome/plished lip and it will look much better than a solid color.

SD987, good post. That car looks great. I am surprised I like the paintedwheels. Too hard to keep clean though.

Now, come on white Boxster owners, post a pic of your ride:

if colored wheels are properly powder coated, they should be fairly easy to clean

Obviously I'm a fan of the white car/dark wheel combo. I really like the contrast between the two colors. For that reason I'm not crazy about the white car/white wheel setup.
