Short shifter parts

I just finished doing the install with the Schnell shifter- What a royal PITA! End result is fantastic, but definitly not an enjoyable little project. If only Porsche didnt use one time press fit bushings, and if only there was something better than damn snap rings! No blood though!

yea seriously when i was installing a short throw on my other car, it was like this: take shift boot off, unbolt 4 bolts, remove shifter assembly, put new one on, bolt back in place, put boot on, enjoy

damn porsche has to make everything complcated, but the reward is awesome so who cares

Hi guys,

I'm considering the same mod on mine. Just wondering does the actual gear change require more effort (harder) with the short shifter in place or does it remain the same as a standard shifter?

its a little harder, and has that notchy feeling (either its in or out of gear, no inbetween kinda feeling)
the first time you try it it will be weird, but you get used to it very fast
