Dropped off my car at Tony & Brothers in Sunnyvale, CA https://www.german-auto-repair.com/ - great guys to talk with and top notch customer service. I am getting Water Pump changed/updated - no time for DIY this time around.

I usually get the speech from indy shops about performing my own maintenance but Lou was super cool. We chatted about them maintaining my car from here on out. Just too busy for DIY these days. As long as you procure OEM approved parts they are cool with their customers bringing in parts. I had a MAHLE fuel filter in trunk that I have been putting off for a while and they will be installing it for me. They were transparent about everything and I didn't leave with a sour taste in mouth.

Orlando, FL Area Indy

FYI, anyone in Orlando area that needs service, check out Sean at Nort Northam Collection.

Amazing guy, fast/thorough/FAIR!

Super guy

My first experience with them, and while I hope I don't have to see him very often, it will be my "goto" location.

Cannot say enough good things about his work.

You may want to tell others where you're looking? Hehe

And just me personally, if I were doing it again, I wouldn't have changed the IMS. I did mine at 147k miles, 'cuz i was doing a clutch. But that bearing was perfect.... and proven.

And as I suggested in my comment below: you might want to tell people where you're looking.
For instance: which hemisphere do you live in? Then country? Etc. Etc. Help us help you.

And for whatever it's worth: those repairs ARE D.I.Y. for many of us here.

I am buying it out of state. So need a good independent mechanic shop in north Houston. Getting PPI done before purchase and leak down test. Will probably do some regular maintenance items myself but still want to get a relationship going with a shop.

I am getting a PPI done at this shop in Greer, SC. Seems to be a good shop and very reasonable on pricing and good reviews. check them out. Its about an hour from Gastonia, NC. https://protechmotorsports.com/

Sorry, Guys. I had LN Engineering IMS retrofit done last month on my 1999 Porsche Boxster. Total cost which included RMS and associated hardware for bearing was 1669.00. This is the hybrid ceramic dual row retrofit bearing. This company is GMP performance , they have been in business I. Charlotte since 1975 and cater to German automobiles. Service and overall expertise second to none. They don’t gouge a working man with a 20 year old Porsche.check other prices anywhere . No one does it for their price. I’ve put 1000 mikes on my car and all is well, no leaks anywhere.

Any recommendations for a top notch Porsche indy shop in the upstate NY area -- in the Albany Schnectady Saratoga triangle?

I probably will need to do a PPI in a few days.

Thank you.
