Their guidance was to avoid Guards Red, Speed Yellow and "above all" White if you were concerned about resale.

Oddly enough, the Boxster is the ONLY car I'd buy in white. For some reason, it looks very good.
BTW, mines AS/B. Oh well.

When shopping around for a Boxster i had never considered white but when i saw my first white Boxster guess what happened next.
