The only abuse I've gotten in the boxster is the single time I left the top down and ran into a Krogers for 3 minutes. Came out and someone spat their gum out on my new floormat (driver's side). I'm thankful they didn't hit the leather seat. That would have been a mess to clean off.

No more leaving the car in parking lots when the wife can't run in, top up or top down.

Well, technically.....um.....yes.

But think of it more like a university student who needs money to buy some books.

At work, I try to mind my own business and park far away from others. Once I returned to find two junkers parked (backed into their spaces) on either side of my car so I could barely get the door open. On some days, I find it more enjoyable to drive my nondescript Mazda Tribute. When I'm in the Porsche, people tailgate like mad and will do anything not to let me in when a merge comes up. There's a lot of pent-up frustration in this country. Maybe it's an economic thing.

The people who do this are pathetic losers who have failed in life. When they see a nice car they become jealous since they too cannot own a nice car largely because they are lazy and/or stupid. They think by damaging someone else's property they will make that person unhappy for a period of time which brings some sort of happiness to their own insignificant existence. What they cannot measure up to they want to destroy. The same type of person I am sure sees nothing wrong with accepting welfare. They are the parasites of the world and should be treated accordingly.

Remind me to drive the company car whenever in Chicago and agree with the other guy that at least it was a mirror and not a fender/quarter panel you'd have to repaint...

Haven't had any hater-stuff happen to me yet. I never leave the top down unless I'm in work parking, and I always keep it out of main people traffic areas at other parking lots and such. One thing I do suggest tho, if you play loud music or rev yer engine, don't when yer getting within a quarter mile of your destination. Don't make yourself a target to people who might see you park or be near it later. If you park nose-in (the headlights are more eye-catching than the rear end), you might slightly decrease the hater odds as well.

I'm sure eventually something's going to happen, but I like trying to cheat the odds any way I can.

Now now!

I have 4 girlfriends that are on average 15 years younger than me. There is no need to pay in the land of plenty.

$4 can usually buy one book in technical school.

Model school is a lot more expensive. Can be up to $100 a day, but sometimes that will get a full week of lessons.

If you don't try to prevent things like this from happening and when it happens, you shouldn't be upset because you knew this would happen somewhere in the back of your mind. it's a gamble to leave a convertible open or where people cannot see it at all times. you are inviting the person to vandiaize your car. I always try to park where it's by the front door or cover the car if it's far away. Every lesson has a price, at least this one was a cheap one. There are people out there that get satisfaction from pissing off others, you just happen to meet one on your outing.

No need to share here since there are so many. Actually, if you are a gringo here you can find yourself a couple of girls who look like Shakira in about 10 minutes regardless of your own appearance. The biggest problem is managing them all since they can get extremely jealous especially when they know they are #2 or #3 on the hierarchy.

Now to get back on Porsche topic. A couple of weeks ago I lent the car to a bar who photographed a couple of bikini girls standing in front of the car which was parked in front of the bar. I will be sure to upload these pictures as soon as I get them. One of the girls has been showing the photos to other models at the agency where she works. I have been getting calls daily from the other girls asking if they too can pose in front of the car. None of them seem to have any money though so I am offering use of the car in exchange for them serving drinks at a party I am having next month. There are some fringe benifits to owning one of the only Porches in the country.

Are we all invited to that party?
