Smoke from the left rear

Hello all - I parked my 1999 986 Boxster for maybe a month. It has 64k miles. All stock. Never had any issues.
When I started it, there was a slight swirl of smoke coming from the drivers side rear tire. It smelled a little like... burnt antifreeze-ish???
Again, the car was just started after sitting a while so not the brakes.

I'm guessing water pump leaking and needs to be replaced. Any thoughts?
