Smoke from the left rear

Hello all - I parked my 1999 986 Boxster for maybe a month. It has 64k miles. All stock. Never had any issues.
When I started it, there was a slight swirl of smoke coming from the drivers side rear tire. It smelled a little like... burnt antifreeze-ish???
Again, the car was just started after sitting a while so not the brakes.

I'm guessing water pump leaking and needs to be replaced. Any thoughts?

Pull the carpet in your trunk... lift up the part that the carpet sits on... look fo water/AF.

Any leaks under the car?

Don't jump to conclusions (wp). Diagnose. May just be a bad coolant reservoir.

Good luck.
