Front right wheel liner

Hi, as posted in other posts; I need to find the cable to manually open trunk on 02 with electric frunk opener. Any tips on removing? Do I need to remove Phillips and torx screws at the bottom where liner meets the bumper? There is a plastic plug under the bumper that I don’t currently a tool to remove also.
I believe there are five plastic plugs and two plastic nuts.in the wheelwell that I’ve removed recently. Hopefully that’s all I need to remove.
Also, if the wire is where the factory left it, where is that?
Thanks.

I’d suggest removing the bumper cover, rather than the fenderwell liner.

If your frunk won’t open, you can remove all the fasteners which hold the bumper cover, except the 2 or 3 which are inside the frunk. At that point, you should be able to pull the bumper cover away from the bottom, and to search (a helper would be useful) for the release cable.
