Porsche's instructions explicitly stipulate a waiting time of 3 hours after applying the adhesive before the windows can be closed and the rear-view mirror can be fitted. While the mirror is obvious I understand the point about the windows (with the door closed), because they "brace" the door/frame system. If it is allowed to harden in the "stressed" state, it makes a difference later in operation.
I don't know if you can tell the difference, but it is explicitly stated in POSES and thus makes the difference to an improper work. Btw, the 996 + 997 windscreen change instructions stipulate the same.
