Gauge Gas Tank Calibration

Yes, this time I searched the treads but couldn't find anything ;-)

My fuel gauge is at 3/4 when the tank is full. Now, according to WSM, the gauge can be recalibrated by emptying the tank, filling it with 12 liters and calibrating the gauge with PIWIS.
Is there any other way to do this, I do not see any possibility with the Durametric here. Btw, quite poor in functions on the 986.

Here's one of the better discussions: https://986forum.com/forums/boxster-general-discussions/79397-996-986-instrument-cluster-question.html

I've found that the best way to search this forum is to do an entry like this in your search: site:986forum.com fuel calibration gauge
Entering a user name in the search will pick out useful posts from some of the more helpful users or help you follow along if there are multiple threads about a specific problem.

Bing: https://www.bing.com/search?pc=MOZI&form=MOZLBR&q=site%3A986forum.com+fuel+calibration+gauge+%22JF P%22

I don't Google much anymore.

Thank you, it was interesting to read that thread. The problem was unfortunately a different one but was solved very well. My Cluster is the original one and I probably won't be able to avoid recalibration with Piwis, I'll have to ask how much it costs. It is very bad that Durametric is so limited for the 986.

So I have hooked up the Durametric again today and have now also ticked Instrument cluster and ABS in the start menu. What you can actually check is how the pointers in the cluster move, my cluster passed all tests. Interesting that I have no key buzzer but light buzzer. And belt buzzer is also not functioning ;-)
With the ABS menu I think you are able to operate that while doing a brake fluid change including the ABS circuit.
