Dealer claims camshaft is bad and needs replacement Hello Folks Unfortunately my engine (Box 2.7 2004) needs repair since cyl 4 lost compression due to a broken lifter spring/broken valve... The dealer quoted me a whooping $13500 (without labour) I managed to reduce the cost a lot finding some used and aftermarket parts but the camshafts are harder to find. Dealer said i need new Camshaft because this one is "damaged" due to this discoloration (attached image) and needs replacement.
