Leather boot for 986 e-brake with carbon fiber

Looking to see if it's possible to replace just the leather boot on my 986 emergency brake handle. See pic. The leather ripped down at the base. I've searched online to no avail and contacted Suncoast parts and they couldn't find any way to replace that w/o replacing the whole thing. Any ideas?

No, it's not possible. Granted I've never seen that part covered in leather, but on my 00 that portion of the handle is actually structural.

Try https://www.redlinegoods.com/
redlinegoods dot com

I ordered through them steering wheel, shifter, and parking brake covers.
Very good service and decent prices.

They might be able to figure something out for you.

I thought I posted my experience with them, but I am unable to find this thread. Could it have been deleted?

First you need to resolve what is causing tearing as that is not a common/natural wear spot. Clearly it is rubbing on console trim (lots of sharp plastic pieces and angles there).

Then, remove entire e-brake assembly (v simple - 4 frame hold down nuts, an e-brake cable tensioner bolt, and wire sensor clip). Find good local upholsterer (automotive preferably but it's small enough any will do) and they will be able to repair / replace covering beautifully - even dying some stock leather to match if need be.

Good luck
