Dansk has a set for the low low price of $1350.00 or so. For that price, they better not set off a CE light. If anyone has found quality sport cats for less, please post it here!

Why not just get cat bypass pipes? 2000+ models have 4 cats (2 precats at the headers and 2 more before the muffler), so if you put in the bypass pipes, you won't get a CEL cause you still have 2 cats up front. Bypass pipes cost btw. $400-500.

I have been having a little trouble with CEL (1275 and 0133) with the high-flow cats I have been using, but I think that is because they are used. It looks like one of the units is bad and we plan on replacing it. If you have a good quality high-flow cat and the O2 sensors are placed properly, should be no problem.

Because they are for a Porsche. You don't think any shop would sell stuff they make for a Porsche for a bargain do ya?

Same concept as cold air intakes, for example. Materials these shops use are the same (a cone filter, plastic intake tubing/box, etc.). Sell it for a Chevy and charge $99 bucks. Sell it for a Porsche, and charge $400. They think Porsche owners expect to pay more and can afford to shell out more. Marketing. Clever marketing.

Cat bypass will get you more results (headers even more) and shouldn't affect the CEL at all. We've got cat bypass for $495 - http://www.epiqautosport.com/pro_boxster_secondary_catalytic_bypass_pipes.php - and then you still have your primary cats.
