high flow cats
would they set off a CEL on?
what are some good brands? |
Dansk has a set for the low low price of $1350.00 or so. For that price, they better not set off a CE light. If anyone has found quality sport cats for less, please post it here!

damn thats a lot of gas money :)

Why not just get cat bypass pipes? 2000+ models have 4 cats (2 precats at the headers and 2 more before the muffler), so if you put in the bypass pipes, you won't get a CEL cause you still have 2 cats up front. Bypass pipes cost btw. $400-500.

I have been having a little trouble with CEL (1275 and 0133) with the high-flow cats I have been using, but I think that is because they are used. It looks like one of the units is bad and we plan on replacing it. If you have a good quality high-flow cat and the O2 sensors are placed properly, should be no problem.

my car is a 98, so i dont have 4 cats.
also, y are bypass pipes so expencive, when i had a ls1 camaro i went to a local muffler shop, they cut the cats off, and velded a pipe in there, and gave me my cats in a box. cost me 45 dollars |

i know exactly what ure talking about :) very sad, unethical, but profitable

Cat bypass will get you more results (headers even more) and shouldn't affect the CEL at all. We've got cat bypass for $495 - http://www.epiqautosport.com/pro_boxster_secondary_catalytic_bypass_pipes.php - and then you still have your primary cats.

as stated above, i dont have 4 cats, so that wont help me at all
