Now the Stealership left me this....

So, collected car and upon turning the ignition was presented with this. A flashing temp light!
Temperature gage needle stays a the way to the left. (Cold)
Cheapie code reader shows no codes.(hence my recent ad for a Durametric)
The coolant tank was also empty, but I filled it and I know there's no leaks.
What the heck may be causing this?

You left the dealer parking lot? Why didn't you just walk back in and tell them?

I did so immediately. However, seeing how I wasn't having them screw me on the MAF sensor they didn't have much to say except that they mentioned it and apparently were going to try to charge another diagnosis fee for it.

I'm seeking a resolution with the Service Manager currently. I don't want then working on the car anymore.

Thanks for responding!

If your tank is empty and your sensor isnt functioning, I'd start there. Here's the location, drivers side on the pulley end.

Wouldn't hurt to pull the trunk carpet (very easy to do) and check for leaking coolant in the trunk. The expansion tanks are known to yellow and crack with age.

After the warranty on the car expires (like all of ours did a long time ago) there's rarely any reason to visit the Porsche dealer service department.

Find a qualified indie and stick with him.

Just sayin'......

Like FO FO JOE wrote.......not only remove the carpet in the trunk BUT ALSO lift up all of the trunk raised floorboards too. In my case, the carpets were bone dry but the metal floor under the raised flooring was holding coolant pools and signs of coolant stains. My coolant tank developed spider cracks that would only leak when the system was hot and became pressurized.

Replaced the 20 year old plastic tank with a new Porsche tank....the cheaper aftermarket ones don't work very well (I was advised).
