Hi OhioBox,

Yeah, I left the stock OEM amber bulbs in the tail lights. I actually tried the silver bulbs that flash amber on the side markers and found that when lit at night, they don't flash as bright as the amber bulbs did, and so put the amber bulbs back. The all clear look is cool in the daylight, but with as many cars as there are here in Manhattan I want to be SEEN on the road clearly at night if you know what I mean. I figure at least I got rid of all my outer amber on the car, which really annoyed me.

Another benefit of taking off the rear emblem imo, is that it makes the car look wider from the rear. Easy to take off emblem btw. Just run some tooth floss under it, and saw it right off. Then rub the residue off with your finger and then wax it. Voila.

Cheers.

i ordered 2 different kind of emblem @ eagle day ( 986 & Boxster ) I'm still deciding on which one to use but after seeing your car, i think i would just return it and keep it butt nekked

ohio..here's my $.02. IMHumbleO, I think either keep the Boxster emblem or leave it clean. If you put a "supercharged" emblem on it, kinda look cheesy...just smoke them in the stop light...action speaks louder than words and that new tail lights make your car 6 yrs. younger

let's see some pics with the brakes lights on, just the tail lights on, and with the flashers on.....if you want to share the LED's that is.

thanks!

Thanks mon. IMO, a group of numbers or letters are just not necessary on such a beautiful car. The general public will not know what a 986 is anyway. IMO, best look is the nekked look.

They are the smoked ones I bought for $99.00 plus shipping. They look really dark but it was dusk, they are not as dark as they look. I will get some pics up tomorrow its freaking freezing and I wont be able to get a good picture in the dark. This picture was before it was adjusted so dont mind the gap. I was attempting to grab a photo before dark.

Boxtaboy, I gotta disagree with you. I like my "rear end" cluttered

Love your exhaust, though ! What kind is that ? Looks sharp...

Thanks, Boxtaboy !

I looked up the exhaust.

$902 at Performance Products, but it won't fit my '99 ( 2000-2004 only )

I got it for $750. PM me, and I'll let you know where I got it from. You can make it fit your car if you get an adapter bracket (costs another $150).

No resonance at all. Zero. Nada. Zip. Mostly because the shape of the muffler is the same single cannister type as the OEM factory muffler. The baffles inside are different to make the sound throatier and louder than stock. The difference from OEM is not as big and loud as say a GHL, Borla, or B&B, but there is no resonance, so wifey is not upset. Here's a sound clip I made:

Those look nice.

I always liked the 550 special edition tail lights on a guards red Boxster. Might be too much red (if there is such a thing) for some.
