Is there much difference (if any) between the 987 intake, plenum and TB vs 986?

Im turning the 3.2 into a 3.8 and would like to get it breathing better.
So I was thinking/assuming the 987 manifold with the IPD plenum and GT3 TB.

Thoughts?

I don't know about 987 intakes, but I can comment on the TB. I just finished shoving an 82mm TB into my engine bay. If you're into DIY, you can save $950 by going with then 996 cable throttle plenum. It takes a bit of modification but you can make it work and it only cost me $30 on pelican. If you're gonna make it worth it the rest of your intake needs to be at least 82mm and that's not an easy task. Woody did a similar mod and both of us ran the intake through the back firewall and into our trunk. I posted pics in the DIY section.
