Rondog, here is how you do it. This is the same issue we experience with the edges on the stone guards near the rear wheels. I "lost" my first Concours (took second place) because the Judge scored me down for having dirty edges on the stone guards.
Buy some WURTH citrus degreaser (
www.wurthusa.com). Dip a Q-Tip in the solution (100%). Trace the edge with the wet Q-Tip, and wipe the edge with a clean, white, 100% terry cloth towel. You may need to repeat these steps 2-3 times to loosen and remove all of the wax.
I have done this now about 3 times with the edges on my stone guards, and everything looks great!
