Engine problem

I believe I have a serious engine problem. It runs, has power, but I believe even after changing oil cooler oil is still getting into coolant. Hard to tell if it’s residual oil from before or not. I’m inclined to think the cylinder or head has a crack.

I would like to fix the car because I like it and have spent a lot of time and money so far.

Has anyone else experienced and/or fixed this problem?

I assume I need to drop the engine, inspect, likely remove head and have it welded. Put engine back in.

Experiences, thoughts, caveats?
