The 2K clear in a rattle can is pretty good stuff. The plain/regular rattle clear just doesn't have the hardener, which is what gives the paint longevity.

The 2K clear would work nicely, especially for a DIY. I've seen some impressive results with it.

It might not last quite as long as a good BC CC job, but for the cost and ease of application you can't go wrong.
