Squeeky hood

I have a 2003 model Boxster S. Vehicle has travelled 40,000 km. When I bought it it had done 8,000 km. I love the car and it has been faultless except for a squeek that comes from the area where the canvas hood tucks under the the convertable top compatment lid. It seems as though the canvas is rubbing against the inner liner just at that stretch point.
I do all my own routine servicing (why buy a car like this and then give it to someone else to play with and charge you for their pleasure) so the car has not been back to a dealer since purchase.
Is this something that can be fixed by adjustment? Or is it a Boxster characteristic?

The covertible top lid does have adjusment that can be made, if you open the top like you where going to access the engine, you will noticed adjusters in the grooves that can be moved foward or backwards, that will slighly raise or lower the lid when its closed, this could be just enough to fix your squeek, just a thought.
