It's not uncommon for these cars to smoke on startup if they have sat for a while or if they were run for a short period and shut back down. Especially if the oil level is near the top of the dipstick. It is a Flat engine and a little oil can sit and seep at the bottom side of the cylinders - unlike a V or inline where it drains down.
