In my case the car still shifted great, drove well, had all the power same as usual. Just had some vibrations at certain RPMs ~3k was the worst. They suddenly went from barely noticeable to bad. I tried everything else trying to fix it, but it was the DMF. Once I got the DMF out I tried to see what was wrong with it. It would spin about 3 degrees in either direction and then stop, but wouldn’t return back to center at all. After replacing it the vibes went away. If the engine is shaking the whole car then you’re probably experiencing the same thing.
