I just ordered mine.
But a quick question.

I heard somewhere, but it could have been regarding other assembly, that there is a turn signal hyper flash issue.

Then I read those are direct plug in - so which one is it?

Also, your take on light intensity vs OEM?

No hyper flashing issues.
Light output is way lower than stock. At least on the smoked version.
Was completely plug and play though.
My only issue was the bolts aren't long enough to reattach the plastic carpet washers in the trunk.

But so far happy.

I ordered clear ones. Smoked, although the car is black, did not "talk" to me.
I hope the light intensity will be better... but this is what I was afraid of - too little light vs stock taillights.

We will see.

On the smoked lights (and yes it's black on black, tinted windows and smoked LED side markers and third brake light) I would say that it's adequate for driving but not much more.
I would very seriously doubt that you could pass inspection with them in any state that takes lights seriously.

But they do look good, and all my lights were shot. Both housings, gaskets and bulb carriers.
So I had to buy completely new lights and this seemed like the best option.
No regrets so far.

But yeah. They are kinda dim.

OK with corner lights, although I hope change from parking to stop is drastic enough to be noticeable.
I am happy with brake, but unhappy with Blinker.

Was referring to daytime, of course.
Not sure if a 718 OEM blinker is that much brighter.
And you will need refloctors.

Are those tail lights actually available again? That's nice.

they were about 700, but I returned them.

I advise NOT to get them.
While the brake lights were OK, blinkers are very weak. To the extent I find them unsafe to drive, even at night.
Blinker is OK only at night when not braking, meaning the brake light is not on.
Once the brake is lit - turn signals are barely visible.

I compared it to OEM light bulb and the LED 718 style is way weaker.

They looked cool, although on black car it looked kind of weird, like too much black in the back.

On a separate note - passenger side was leaking. I washed the car and water got inside. I dried it as I thought maybe I did not tighten them enough.
Next rain - water inside again... and that was the main reason for the return.
Dim light - I would be looking how to get them fixed...

I’ve seen others not report any issues with brightness? Could it possibly be like a pre updated version

You must of purchased a bad or cheaper set. I've had mine for around 2 years and none of that is true with the set I bought. The blinkers are plenty bright and I've had 0 leaks.

not sure, if you had fluid water in them, if so --> instant return, no doubt

They tend to fog up a little, nothing major, if it is rainy and the temperature difference (inside/out) is high. But that happens with most OEM lights, too.
Other than that, no probs so far.

Based on their performance, they are worth maybe 10% of the asking price now.

He doesn't really expect to sell any at that price. He raises the price to keep the listing active when he's out of stock. As soon as them are available they'll be price as before.

The $395 ones on Amazon aren't the same lights. Cheapo version but they're still available.

Blinker is very dim almost, dangerously dim.

I had a pair. I spent nearly $800 then and while I was trying to justify the blinker's lack of intensity, I could not live with water finding its way into the light.
The right one was leaking. After washing the car, or any rain, would result in anywhere from mist to several ml of water collected on the bottom of the passenger side taillight.

The brake light was great.
The parking light - a bit too intense with comparison to the brake, but still ok-ish.
Blinker - as I said, way too dim. You could "kinda" see it at night with the brake on, while on a sunny day - almost impossible to see.

I was thinking of maybe swapping OEM 718 internals - there are cheap ones on eBay, damaged (cracked lens or broken tabs). All LED functional. So taking the blinker out and swapping to this assembly could be the way to go, but in the end that would be way over $1000 taillight project (about 200 per side plus 800 plus my time)...

So I am back to what I had.
